Alberta

Legal Age of Purchase, Possession + Consumption:

18 years

Retailers:

Private or Government retailers may sell to the public

Online Sales:

Restricted to Provincial Government retailers

Smoking is Permitted:

10 metres away from doorways, windows and airtakes of buildings, patios and bus stops (*Additional restrictions on smoking and vaping may exist in municipal bylaws, lease agreements, and the policies of employers and property owners)

Government Sales licensed by:

Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC)

Max Possession Amount:

4 plants per household, 30 grams in public

 

British Columbia

Legal Age of Purchase, Possession + Consumption:

19 years

Retailers:

Private or Government retailers may sell to the public in-stores and online

Smoking is Permitted:

Anywhere tobacco and vaping are allowed, and nowhere near areas frequented by children (*Additional restrictions on smoking and vaping may exist in municipal bylaws, lease agreements, and the policies of employers and property owners)

Government Sales licensed by:

The BC Liquor Distribution Act (LDB)

Max Possession Amount:

4 plants per household, 30 grams in public

 

Manitoba

Legal Age of Purchase, Possession + Consumption:

19 years

Private or Government retailers may sell to the public

Online Sales:

Home growing prohibited, 150 gram limit per household, 30 grams in public
