It’s 5 am and you’re seven days into being a new mom. Your body is still swollen and foreign to you, and you’ve just finished feeding the new life you brought into the world.  You marvel at the fact you created and gave birth to such a spectacular human. You also feel the dull ache of recurring pain as your body heals. Even though your baby is safe, asleep, and fed, you remain awake.

Maybe it’s the fear of something going wrong? You could be doubting your abilities to be a mother, experiencing the pure adrenaline from being a new mom, or you’re just overwhelmed with these foreign and new emotions that come with childbirth.
