CBD won’t get you high but it can help you get some much-needed sleep

How CBD enhances sleep?

Similar to the mystery of pyramids — the jury’s still out on exactly how CBD helps with sleep. All we know for sure, is that it enhances the quality of sleep for many of its users. 

Some research suggests that CBD helps with sleep by reducing anxiety or general body aches and pains, both of which can make it hard to fall asleep or stay asleep. Other research hints that CBD may also affect sleep directly, by interacting with receptors in the brain that govern the body’s sleep and wake cycles. 

Though, the exact mechanism is yet to be discovered, there is no question that CBD plays a serious role in sleep.

After we’ve passed through the stages of sleep, we enter a REM sleep. In this stage, our eye movements speed up and our brain becomes more active, processing things that we’ve learned during the day to help us form memories and boosts feel-good chemicals such as serotonin. 

Sleep is basically the  housekeeper for your brain. Storing important memories and throwing out what isn’t relevant. Without restful sleep, your brain remains cluttered and unfocused.
